The first Ford’s logo
(named after the company’s founder Henry Ford) was created in 1903 for the first car of the “model A” brand. The logo was “flying” as if appealing to move forward, and was designed in the “art nouveau” style, which was popular at that time. The first oval logo of the Ford appeared in 1911 with the purpose of promoting the car in the market of the United Kingdom, but the company itself went on using the “flying” variant of its name till the twenties. The blue oval became the logo of all Ford’s models in 1927. In the year 2003, the logotype was a bit modified and combined the old and the new style, for the hundredth anniversary of the company.
